How Fast Can a Forklift Go?
A common forklift max speed is 10 miles per hour.
But depending on the type and model, forklift top speed is usually between 5 and 15 mph.
Excessive speed is one of the common cause of accidents
— especially rollovers. Traveling too fast shortens the driver’s reaction time and increases the chance for an accident when turning. Though OSHA has not set a specific speed limit for lift trucks, 5mph is generally regarded as a safe maximum speed.
Unfortunately, forklifts don’t come with a speedometer.
Utilizing a FORKLIFT SPEED LIMITER, which can sense speeds as slow as 1mph, can be an effective way to discourage speeding.
Function Of The System:
1.Speeding Alarm and Limiting:
You can set 2 levels of speed for the forklift:
A.1st level speed, the device will only flashing the light.
B.2nd level speed, the device will limit the forklift speed, light flashing and alarm.
C.If you are keeping overspeeding for like 5 seconds (The duration time can be set by the admin), then the device will lock the forklift, only with the authorized remote can the device be unlocked.
2.Realtime Speed Displaying:
The customer can choose the external LED Screen for speed displaying, or just use our device for displaying.
3.Only Admin with the authorized remote controller can set the device and unlock the device.
4. When the Forklift is reversing, there is the alarm to notify the driver and pedestrians.
Application Scope:
1. For all INTERNAL COMBUSTION FORKLIFT and ELECTRIC FORKLIFT
2. Voltage Range:DC 12V~80V
3. Alarm Content can be customized to different language.
Important Parameters:
1. Speed setting Range: 0-99km/h
2. Alarm Decibel: 120 DB
3. Water and Dust Proof: IP65, Can be working under the rain
